hello my name is ____
what is my name? introducing myself to people has become very awkward lately and rather confusing. let me try to explain. if i introduce myself as 'melissa' it is not very helpful because no one calls me by my first name. introducing myself as 'rubey' feels a little weird because that's my last name, but that is what eveyone calls me. yet, when i do make it easy and introduce myself as 'rubey' people have no idea it's my last name, they think it's my first name. some people have suggested introducing myself as 'melissa rubey' but that is way too formal. i would feel real silly saying that. so i guess it will continue to be a countless awkward moment when i meet new friends . . . i'll just be (rubey) until people figure out my real name is melissa.

I vote you introduce yourself as Rubes.
you need to work at a law firm so you can introduce yourself fully as melissa rubey (with a firm handshake, good eye contact, and a slight smile). ask evan how to do it, he's a pro.
I'm so excited you have a blog! You need to update! I want to see recent pictures!!! It has been forever since we have seen eachother, shoot almost 2 years since the wedding! Hope all is well!
